KCHP P3's outreach project in central and east London reaches the most vulnerable families at the first stage of the cycle of homelessness. We take our services directly to where the need is, working with families and their young children in isolated areas who are facing poverty, stress, social exclusion and other social barriers. We provide drop in surgeries and carry out home visits to families facing, or who have been placed into temporary accommodation, offering them advice on welfare rights, housing, education, health and employment opportunities. Keeping within the 'Every Child Matters' framework, we believe that every child should have the opportunity to play, be happy, healthy and access education regardless of their social situation. Our toy library provides educational activities in a fun and informal environment to children across London who otherwise may not have access to such facilities. Our outreach teams provide play sessions in community centre's and hostels enabling young children to access early educational support and develop their social skills in a safe environment. For many children, the services that we provide are their only opportunity to access educational resources in this way.
