P3 Chief Executive talks about his new role within the NCVO Advisory Group

On his new appointment as Chair of the NCVO Public Service Delivery Network Advisory Group and the purpose of Group, Martin Kinsella said;

"The aim of the NCVO Public Service Delivery Network is to bring together both the VCS and the public sector to jointly understand and address barriers in commissioning and procurement practice by providing a safe place for the mutual exchange of information and learning.

I believe that the network has a crucial role to play in making sense of the rapidly changing public service environment we currently face. My view is that we need to work together to achieve positive change and always remember the end goal is the production of more positive outcomes for our customers, the service users. Both commissioners and providers will need to constantly up their game to achieve this, being outcomes focused and service user needs led rather than service led, is the only way forward."

Over 100 people, from the public and voluntary sector, came together at a NCVO conference recently to debate, learn and share ideas on how policy is being translated into practice.
